Export run data to excel
I would like to be able to export my run data to excel. Doing this I would be able to print my data and not have to be on a computer to look at it. I would also be able to customize how I see my data much more.

Inappropriate?Definitely a must. Is there no way Nike supports me owning my own data? What if I want to mash it up with a graph of my weight, or my mood, or other data I might have?

Inappropriate?Nike seems to be very big brother lately. I think purchasing their products should be enough of a reason for them to improve the versatility to keep us all happy.
-
Inappropriate?Would greatly improve the point of naming runs - right now I can name a run, but I can't compare my performance on those specific runs.
-
Inappropriate? It would be a great way to be able to track improvement in PB's over time rather having to go back through past runs.

Inappropriate?i think that they should do it for the open office and not microsoft exel.

They'd just export it as comma seperated values, which could be read by any relevant program. -
Yes, keep the download system flexible so users with different software or system requirements can get their data! -
CSV would be "just fine" to carry information that one needs, and readable even in a text editor. -
Definitely CSV--it is much more interoperable. -
Inappropriate?I wrote a basic graphing utility using java that seems to be way more accurate than what the nikeplus site provides. In its current version it allows you to compare several graphs, modify the graph length, and look at specific time intervals. I would love some feedback on it, it just plots the raw data, but it's definitely useful. If anyone would like to check it out shoot me an email at JJUSAF@gmail.com.

Inappropriate?I have to say I was very disappointed when I saw my first run plotted. The graph looked like it was designed to be viewed by four-year-olds! C'mon! Not only that, no export. Sux big-time!
I’m dissapointed spending the money on it

I think the inaccuracy of the graphs is supposed to iron out inaccuracy's with the sensor. You can actually change the graph accuracy in the latest update to the website. -
Inappropriate?I have been on the run program since Nike came out with the air max 180.
They had an easy program that kept a chart of all my runs and my goals.
When I replaced the old chip with a new one I no longer have this program.
I thought I had messed something up until I started reading the messages.
I switched form New Blalance to Nike because of the program.
If Nike doesn't want me as a costumer, I will gladly go back to New Balance.
New Balance a better quality shoe anyway.
I’m indifferent

GB. What the **** has this got to do with export to excel??? -
Switch to New Balance if you think it's better quality, you don't need Nike shoe to run with the chip -
Inappropriate?Great Idea!!!!! you can combine it with your records of ur hearth!!!

Inappropriate? It's a bit of a facepalm that this functionality wasn't here in the first place

It's the runner's data. The runner should be able to retrieve it! -
Inappropriate?Looking through the other ideas and problems in the forums here it seems that the general them of exporting / sharing my data is REALLY common. There are requests for Nike Mini's to be embedded on blogs, RSS feeds, excel exports, running stat widgets for other sites...
Feeeing the data in .CSV for now would be a great stop-gap for the majority of these requiests whilst you build the others. RSS feeds would also likely be simple to implement as you already have "feeds" of people's runs on their profiles.

You're abusing the system! If the original idea was overlooked, it's probably because there isn't as great a demand for it as you imagined. iPhone armbands already exist from other manufacturers! If you want Nike to come out with one, you're better off suggesting ways Nike can improve on other armbands in the market.
You might also need to find another forum to address this issue, because it's an iPhone matter, and not related to the Nike+ website. -
Inappropriate? It is disappointing that data cannot be sent to excel, I thought Nike was better than that but it seems nobody is listening.
-
Inappropriate?I am about to deploy to Afghanistan and will have limited access (if at all) to a computer that I can plug my Sportband sensor into that is connected to the Internet. Would be awesome if I could just upload my run data to my computer and post it to the website later. Saving the run data to an Excel spreadsheet would certainly accomplish this.

Inappropriate? There are many that travel to where they may not have access to the internet. Not just military, but anyone that travels to remote areas. And there are remote areas in the US where one may not have access to the internet for a long period of time. (Camping/hiking/exploring or just being in a disaster area) Or even those of us that are very frugal and don't want to pay extra for internet access while on the road! One hotel I stayed at for 90 days was $90 dollars a week for internet access from the hotel, and there was no free wi-fi any where in the city that I could find. Yes in the US you can go to a public library and get on the net for free, but they do not like you plugging in devices to their computers and many don't even have that capability, and in other countries this is not an option. I always have access to a computer, but not internet access! Computer have become so small and portable that you can take them anywhere, & use solar energy to recharge. The ability to down load to Excel would be great. It would also allow you to send the information to someone else that does not have access or does not want access to Nike's website! (TRAINER, DOCTORS, THERAPIST, EMPLOYERS....)

Inappropriate?Cannot believe what a marketing push this product is. I wanted a true runners watch to track my runs. This is NOT it. All I get is childish graphics and the frustration of not being able to track my runs in miles. If I had purchased this item at home I would be returning it --- too bad I made a vacation purchase.

Inappropriate? Not sure where this issue stands, but my number one complaint about this product is the lack of access to raw run data. We should be able to export data at the lowest time interval possible - CSV, tab-delimited, XML are all fine. In addition, some minimal documentation would be necessary to describe the data structures. Ultimately, I'd like to import this data into a relational database (e.g. MySQL, Oracle) to perform additional analysis/reporting and combine with other data sources like others have mentioned.
